We now have the final arrangements for the 1964 Club 50th Anniversary Dinner, to be held on the evening of Friday 21st November at the spectacular Drapers Company Livery Hall in Throgmorton Street.
Our engaging guest speaker will be Ann Widdecombe. She retired from the House of Commons in 2010, and is a novelist among her many other interests. Our President, local MP, and Secretary of State for Justice is Chris Grayling who will paint a picture of the current political scene and allow us to savour a Conservative victory in May 2015. We hope that Archie Hamilton our former President, now Lord Hamilton will say a few words.
Coaches will leave Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall at 17.15 and the reception starts at 18.45 with the Banquet at 19.30 hr. The evening will finish at 10:30 with coaches at 10:45. The price is £150 per person with 1964 Club members having paid the same amount although members have already paid £100 as part of the annual subscription. The price is very reasonable considering it includes the venue, reception with drinks and canapés, banquet with wine and music, coffee and petits fours and the coach there and back.
If you would like to attend please confirm your place to the Hon. Secretary David Collins indicating if you wish to take the coach, latest by Friday November 7th. Cheques payable to the ‘1964 Club’ may be sent to David Collins.
